A couple of days ago, we informed you about the PC downgrade-ation that was introduced in Battlefield 1 via its latest update. And while PC gamers are waiting patiently for DICE to fix it, it appears there is a workaround for it.
Unfortunately, though, this workaround does not completely fix the PC downgrade-ation. According to reports, while it does improve the game’s visuals, there are still some settings that cannot be reverted to their previous values.
In order to improve the game’s visuals, PC gamers will have to follow cdub4784’s guide:
- Open battlefield 1 in My Documents
- Open Settings folder
- Delete everything, EXCEPT PROFSAVE and PROSAVE_backup, these files is your campaign gameplay and has nothing to do.
- Enter the game
- Set the quality to Ultra, or whatever you had before
According to Battlefield 1 players, this method improves the game’s visuals, however it still does not make the game look as good as it was prior to the latest update.
Nevertheless, we are pretty sure that most gamers will appreciate it until DICE fixes it.
