ValveTime shared some new gameplay footage from the highly anticipated Source freeware stand-alone game, Black Mesa: Source. We are pretty sure that Half Life fans will appreciate it, so waste no time and go ahead and watch it. For those who can wait a bit, let us tell you that you will see some generic AI, a couple of low-res textures and added iron-sights for some weapons. What’s really interesting though is that the level that is being demonstrated is from the later levels of Half-Life, meaning that Black Mesa: Source is nearing completion. Oh, and did we say that both the sound effects and the music are top notch? Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
