EIDOS Montreal and NIXXES have released a new patch for the PC version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided that packed some DX12 performance improvements. Therefore, decided to test this new patch and see whether those claims were legit or not.
The good news is that this latest patch does improve the game’s awful DX12 performance on NVIDIA’s graphics cards. The bad news is that the DX12 performance is nowhere close to the DX11 performance.
Here are some comparisons between DX12 pre-patch (left), DX12 post-patch (middle) and DX11 (right).
It appears that NIXXES is trying to fix the game’s DX12 performance, however it’s quite obvious that it needs a lot of work until it matches the performance of DX11.
Therefore, we – once again – strongly suggest avoiding the DX12 version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided if you are using NVIDIA’s hardware.
