Last week, Capcom revealed that Devil May Cry HD Collection would not support 4K resolutions on consoles (PS4Pro and Xbox One X). Naturally, a lot believed that the same applied to the PC version. However, and as we suspected, the PC version of Devil May Cry HD Collection will support 4K resolutions and beyond.
As Capcom’s WBacon revealed when asked about the Steam release of Devil May Cry HD Collection:
“The engine and game code/logic is likely tied to the video refresh cycle. The game will support resolutions 4K and beyond though.”
The good news here is that All Devil May Cry games were originally running at 60fps. Similarly to Okami HD, the game code/logic will be most likely tied to the video refresh cycle. As such, don’t expect higher framerates than 60fps. Still, this is better than the 30fps of Okami HD.
Devil May Cry HD Collection is coming to the PC on March 13th!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
