After teasing gamers with their upcoming project, Larian Studios have announced that their next game will be a prequel to Divine Divinity and will be called Divinity: Original Sin. Divinity: Original Sin will take place after the events of the first Divinity gameĀ and will be a top-down RPG. Gone is the third-person perspective from Divinity II: Ego Draconis and – as you may have guessed – this new Divinity title has more in common with Larian’s first Divinity game than with Divinity II.
In addition, Divinity: Original Sin is inspired by Ultima VII and was built for two players. Both combat and conversations are built for partnership.
Players can choose between a male and a female character and the game end where 2002?s Divine Divinity sets off.
Larian Studios will reveal more details about their title tomorrow, so stay tuned for more!
