Watch Dogs is a game we are really looking forward to. And according to online retailer ShopTo, this open world title will hit all platforms on March 21st. Yes, we know; an online retailer claiming that a game will be released on a specific date is not trustworthy these days, however ShopTo is certain about this release date. It’s so confident about it that it offers £5.00 to anyone who pre-orders the game and does not receive it by then.
As ShopTo stated on the game’s pre-order page:
“We are so confident that you will receive Watch Dogs for Friday 21st of March 2014 that if for ANY reason you do not we will compensate you with £5.00 to your account.”
Ubisoft has not commented on that yet. Moreover, ShopTo has update the listing for Watch Dogs with a ‘TBC’ release date. This could mean that a) the release date is valid and ShopTo messed things up or b) it was a mistake that was partially fixed (as at this point the pre-order page still has the March 21st release date).
All in all, it appears that Watch Dogs will be coming very soon. Let’s hope that Ubisoft will optimize the PC version and won’t pull another ‘Assassin’s Creed IV’ on us.
Kudos to WCCFTech for spotting it.
