The Sims Project Rene

The Sims 5/Project Rene Full Map Potentially Leaked

In February 2023, we informed you about a leaked pre-release PC build for The Sims 5 that is codenamed Project Rene. And, from the looks of it, this build featured the entire map for this new The Sims game.

Datamined by Reddit’s ‘DzXAnt22’, the following screenshot shows the entire map of the game. For those wondering, the red area is the area that was available in the playtest.

The Sims 5 will be a free-to-play game. So, my guess is that EA will use Denuvo in order to “protect” its paid expansions and DLCs.

Back in November 2022, we got our first look at Project Rene via some pre-alpha off-camera leaked screenshots. That was one month after EA officially revealed The Sims 5. Codenamed Project Rene, this new The Sims game promises to stay true to what The Sims has always been. Additionally, it will push to evolve how those Sims think and behave.

For those wondering, yes. You can still find and download this PC pre-release build. As always, though, we won’t allow any links to it. So yeah, don’t bother sharing any links in the Comment section. Be also careful with what you’ll be downloading as there will be numerous fake torrents out there, filled with viruses.

There is currently no word on when Project Rene will come out. Hell, EA hasn’t even shared any official news or media for it since October 2022. Still, if I had to guess, I’d say we’re looking at a late 2024 or early 2025 release. Perhaps will find out more about The Sims 5 this Summer during EA’s Summer Showcase event.

Stay tuned for more!
