Yesterday, AMD announced its latest “Never Settle Reloaded Bundle Campaign”, in which PC gamers can get (for free) a number of games, depending on their purchase of an AMD graphics card. Alongside that presentation, AMD teased some PC exclusive features that will be coming to the PC version of IO Interactive Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming Lara game, Tomb Raider.
According to the following image, the PC version of Tomb Raider will feature optimized controls for the PC, silhouette-enhancing tessellation (meaning that Lara’s butt will look more ’rounder’ than ever), per-pixel displacement mapping tessellation, MLAA and HDAO support, as well as a top secret DX11 effect.
We also know that Tomb Raider PC will feature higher resolution textures and will be ported to the PC by the studio that was behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Hitman: Absolution, Nixxes.
Tomb Raider is planned for a March 5th release on the PC, X360 and PS3!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
