Cuphead was one of the best releases of 2017. StudioMDHR’s classic run n gun action game nears one million copies on Steam and is so hard that some players have described as the Dark Souls of run n gun games. So, what would Dark Souls look as a Cuphead game? Well, time to get a taste of such a thing.
YouTube’s ’64 Bits’ has shared the following video, showing what a crossover between Dark Souls and Cuphead could have looked like. And the result is incredible. This is a crossover we desperately want to see. It’s cute, it looks hard, it’s fun. Seriously, this looks so awesome.
AsĀ 64 Bits, this isn’t a fan game and this video does not feature gameplay footage from a WIP project. It’s just a video showing what Dark Souls could have looked like with Cuphead’s visuals and gameplay mechanics. Now there is a chance that this video may spark interest for such a fan game. To be honest, though, I don’t expect any individual developer to come remotely close to the quality of this video.
Unfortunately there are currently no plans for such a crossover. However, here is hoping that both Bandai Namco and StudioMDHR will see the huge potential of such a thing. This crossover could sell like hot cakes.
Enjoy the video!
