Pneumata feature

Here are 35 minutes of gameplay from the Unreal Engine 5-powered Lovecraftian horror game, Pneumata

YouTube’s ‘ENFANT TERRIBLE’ has shared a video, showcasing 35 minutes of gameplay footage from Pneumata. Pneumata is a new Lovecraftian survival and psychological horror game using Unreal Engine 5, that will be coming to PC in Q2 2024.

In this game, players will assume the role of homicide detective David Hernandez who investigates a series of murders at the old Clover Hill Apartments. Players will explore, and fight for their lives as they lose themselves trying to survive the unimaginable horrors within the walls of Clover Hill. Or so the devs claim. Players will find items, weapons, and clues that will help them uncover the sinister truth behind it all.

Back in February, Deadbolt Interactive shared a PC demo for Pneumata. And according to some early reports, the demo had some performance issues. That PC demo is no longer available, so I can’t really test the game. However, since this is a game from a small team, I’d suggest tempering your expectations.

Anyway, the following gameplay video appears to be from the game’s latest preview build. So, in theory, it should be more optimized than the aforementioned PC demo. Since this is a preview build, though, it does not represent the quality of the final product. Still, it can give you an idea of what you can expect from it.

For a game with a limited budget, Pneumata looks kind of interesting. Again, you should keep your expectations in check. This won’t be the next big horror game. However, for a game coming from a small team, it’s a solid start. Let’s now hope that Perp Games will offer it at a realistic price.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
