When we first laid eyes on Outerra, we could not help but be impressed by its huge environment. And today, we present you a new video from this engine that will leave you speechless with how huge its environment actually is. Captured by YouTube’s member ‘Brano Kemen’, this video demonstrates a flight over Mexico showing new biome colors and vegetation distribution.
According to Brano, Outerra Engine uses OpenGL 3.3+ and this in-game footage was running at 30fps on a Radeon 6850. In short, those of you with more powerful GPUs will be able to enjoy it with better framerates.
Those interested can download an alpha version of the Outerra tech demo from here.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
