Alzur’s Legacy has released a trailer for its upcoming The Witcher fan film. This film will last 55 minutes and is titled “Half a Century of Poetry Later”. The trailer – and I suspect the movie itself – is in Polish, so be sure to enable the subtitles.
Now let’s get the first thing out of the way; Geralt should have had white hair. Apart from that and some audio inconsistencies, this fan film looks great. The costumes look good, there are some cool effects, and the scenes are faithful to the game.
Honestly, this feels like The Witcher game. You can easily notice the similarities and how faithful to the original material Alzur’s Legacy’s film is. It’s also obvious that the budget for this movie is higher than your average fan film. Now we’d love to see a little bit better acting and audio mixing, but that’s just a nitpick and nothing more.
Now it’s worth noting that the film was supposed to come out next month. Alzur’s Legacy decided to delay it until June 2018, so we might see better visual effects. However, I don’t expect the team to reshoot any scenes.
This fan film undoubtedly looks cool, so be sure to at least watch the trailer below!
