Unreal Engine 4 fans, here is something for you today. Sparkx Sylux, JamyzGenius and Sadkitty have shared videos, showing environments from The Witcher 3, Star Wars: KOTOR 2 and Everquest being recreated in Unreal Engine 4.
Instead of posting three different stories, we’ve decided to include these new recreations in one. As such, those who hate the Unreal Engine 4 recreations won’t see the website getting flooded with such articles. Hooray.
Now I’ve never been a big fan of Everquest, so I don’t know how faithful to the original material this recreation is. However, and since I still remember The Witcher 3’s environments, I can say that the Witcher 3 hut recreation is really close to the real thing. The same can be said about KOTOR 2’s Observatory Deck.
Now while obviously these videos are just showcases and nothing more, it would have been great if we could actually run and play them. Nevertheless, it’s really cool witnessing artists experimenting with Epic’s engine. By recreating these well known games, they get more exposure and fans get to see what an updated – or a completely different – version of their favourite games can look like. At least in my opinion.
Enjoy the videos!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
