Modder ‘Sir Reaperrz Custard McButtfuck Esq’ has released a brand new version of his incredible mod for The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition overhauls the game’s combat, sword and gameplay mechanics. This is by far the best gameplay mod for The Witcher 3 as it tweaks and adjusts numerous things.
While we consider this a must-have mod for all those returning to the game, those playing the game for the first time should simply stick to its vanilla mechanics. Once you’ve mastered the game’s controls, you can then try this mod.
What’s also really cool is that The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition introduces lots of new stats like attack and dodging speed, poise, adrenaline, vigor and more. These stats are all interconnected and have effects on regeneration rates, values and many other things. Naturally, they also actively affect the gameplay. As such, having less health and stamina will make you attack and regenerate slower unless using certain potions. And as you’d expect, you can check the stats themselves in the character info sheet in your inventory.
Moreover, this mod overhauls the game’s sword mechanics. According to its description, a silver sword is not needed for every monster anymore. Like the previous Witcher games, most monsters will require a steel sword (although silver works too). Cursed creatures, Vampires and Specters will only take damage from silver blades.
Talents and Signs have been majorly overhauled and rebalanced. Moreover, several new speed stats are present in the mod. This means that when dodging, players can take grazing damage.
The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition also improves the game’s combat. Players can now target enemies manually, and they can dance around with more ease. These new stats and combat features (like manual targeting and distance attacks) can open up new possibilities. For example, players can now kill enemies without getting rid of their shields.
YouTube’s ‘Corvah’ has shared a video, showing the new combat mechanics, so be sure to watch it.

Have fun!
