In an interview with Greg’s RPG HeaveN, NIS America president Takuro Yamashita revealed that the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be released in April 2018. The game was originally meant to hit Steam in September 2017, however on its initial launch day NIS America revealed that the game was delayed.
While most players believed that this was a small delay, in November 2017 NIS America stated that the game was delayed to 2018. In January 2018, the team claimed that the game would come out on January 30th, however on January 20th NIS America stated that the game was once again delayed due to some technical issues.
In Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island. Amidst this, Adol begins to dream of a mysterious blue-haired maiden living in an unknown world.
Here is hoping that NIS America will finally release this game in April, and that it will not plagued by any performance or optimization issues!
