PC gamers, meet Nitronic Rush; an experimental survival driving game that is developed by students at DigiPen Institute of Technology. The game has been released on the PC platform (with support for Xbox 360 controllers) and get this, it’s available for free from its official website. Oh, and honestly; it does look amazing. This is a great mashup between Trackmania and Tron and you can view a trailer for it after the jump.
Using the car’s many abilities (including boost, wings, and jump), avoid obstacles that the city throws at you. In many ways the game is a tribute to racing games of the 1990s, but with fresh graphics, audio, and gameplay.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
