Here is something really interesting for all Gears of War fans out there. Microsoft has just announced that Gears 5, as well as the Definitive Editions for Age of Empires 1, 2 and 3, will be officially coming to Steam.
As Phil Spencer said:
“Our intent is to make our Xbox Game Studios PC games available in multiple stores, including our own Microsoft Store on Windows, at their launch. We believe you should have choice in where you buy your PC games.
We also know that there are other stores on PC, and we are working to enable more choice in which store you can find our Xbox Game Studios titles in the future.”
This is definitely something that will please a lot of PC gamers as both Gears of War 5 (known as Gears 5) and Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available on Valve’s digital distribution service; something that PC gamers have requested countless times in the past.
Microsoft has also announced Xbox Game Pass for the PC. According to the company, all of its exclusive games will launch day and date into the program on their global release. Xbox Game Pass will have more than 100 games and Microsoft is working with 75 PC developers and publishers, including Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver, Paradox Interactive and SEGA.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
