Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced that the first insider flighting beta phase for the first Halo game that will be released on the PC via the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo Reach, has been launched. In order to celebrate this announcement, the teams have also released a new official video from the PC version of Halo Reach that you can find below.
This latest official video sports 17 minutes of gameplay footage, showcasing the Halo: Reach campaign mission “Tip of the Spear” running on the PC in 4K resolution with 60fps.
As 343 Industries noted, this is just the beginning and this initial flight is very small. In other words, don’t be disappointed if you have not received any email invite yet as new flights will be commenced at a later date.
The first MCC PC flight is an updated version of the build 343 Industries brought to E3 earlier this month which includes the Halo: Reach campaign mission “Tip of the Spear” and nothing more.
The primary goal of this first flight is to help the team validate the process and pipelines to get a build out to Insiders on Steam at a larger scale. A secondary goal will be to get player feedback on the current state of mouse and keyboard controls and how the game “feels” on PC.
Enjoy!
