Call of Duty Modern Warfare-3

Call of Duty Modern Warfare will support cross-play between PC, Xbox One and PS4

Activision will reveal the multiplayer universe for Call of Duty Modern Warfare later today, and the first details about it have surfaced online. According to the latest reports and leaks, this new COD game will support cross-play between PC, Xbox One and PS4.

At today’s press release event, players were able to play together across all different platform. Moreover, the Xbox One version of COD: MW supports keyboard and mouse. Vise versa, the PC version also comes with gamepad support.

Furthermore, it is said that the game will feature a 20v20 multiplayer mode with larger maps. According to the leaker (who has provided evidence of being present at that event) Activision has also licensed Metallica’s songs for this new COD game (though take this with a grain of salt).

Interestingly enough, and despite some earlier rumours, Activision may not reveal a battle-royale mode for Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The publisher did not reveal any such info at the press release event, something that really surprised me.

Last but not least, the game will not feature any dismemberment, though it will be gory.

But anyway, the important thing here is that the game will support cross-play between all platforms. This is something that most PC gamers will appreciate (I know I do).

Since this hasn’t been confirmed yet by either Activision or Infinity Ward, I’m marking it as a rumour.

Activision will officially reveal the multiplayer universe of COD: MW in around 6 hours from now!
