Gamescom 2019 begins later today and some publishers have already released new trailers for their games. Below you can find the Gamescom 2019 trailers for The Surge 2, Streets of Rage 4, Cat Quest 2, Blasphemous, Spacebase Startopia, Journey to the Savage Planet and TOKYO GHOUL:re CALL to EXIST.
Boundary was originally meant to come out exclusively on PS4. However, Surgical Scalpels has announced that the game will also release on the PC. Boundary is an interesting multiplayer tactical space-based shooter. The game puts players in the role of a heavily armed astronaut in space engaging in fierce zero gravity firefights and executing low-gravity operations on orbiting space installations against enemy astronauts and other entities.
Journey to the Savage Planet’s trailers give us a look at more of the game’s weirdly wonderful alien world. The trailer also includes the dangerous Jellywaft Islands, the murky Swamp Gully and a towering Fungal Forest, among other intriguing environments. Furthermore, never-before-seen creatures showcase the space adventure’s zany and peculiar comedic charm such as the Floopsnoot, a dangerous flying one-eyed creature and the Insectoid Swarm, a dense cluster of angry insects.
Team17 has released the Gamescom 2019 trailer for Blasphemous, which releases on September 10th. The game will feature a dark and punishing Metroidvania world where fast-paced, skilled combat combines with a deep and evocative narrative core. Players will assume the role of The Penitent One, a sole survivor of the massacre of the ‘Silent Sorrow’.
On the other hand, Cat Quest II is a fast-paced open world action RPG. In this game, you play as both a cat and a dog. Moreover, you will explore a massive world filled with monsters, dungeons and quests.
Kalypso Media and developers Realmforge Studios have also announced Spacebase Startopia. In Spacebase Startopia, players will manage their very own space station. Players will maintain the three unique deck types, accommodating eight different alien races and defending against enemy invaders while also contending with the station’s sharp-witted and sarcastic narrator AI, VAL.
The Gamescom 2019 trailer for Streets of Rage 4 shows Cherry Hunter; daughter of Adam Hunter from the original Streets of Rage. Bandai Namco has also released the first gameplay trailer for TOKYO GHOUL:re CALL to EXIST. And lastly, the trailer for The Surge 2 gives us a gameplay overview.
