MoonGlint and YouTube’s Residence of Evil have announced that their Resident Evil-inspired game, RESIDENCE of EVIL: VIGIL, is now renamed to simply VIGIL. Moreover, the teams released a brand new gameplay trailer that you can find below.
VIGIL is a third-person game that uses fixed camera angles like the first Resident Evil games. MoonGlint claims that the game will feature a new original story with its own unique cast of characters. Moreover, the game will have tank controls, similar to those of Resident Evil 1/2/3. The game will also feature puzzles, hidden rooms, as well as multiple enemies to defend yourselves against.
This latest gameplay trailer showcases the game’s combat mechanics. Unfortunately, though, VIGIL is currently in a pretty rough stage. For instance, there is no recoil/reaction at all when the main protagonist fires his gun.
Back in April 2019, MoonGlint released a demo for VIGIL that you can download. Naturally, keep in mind that this demo is pretty old and does not represent the quality of the final product.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
