NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 is reportedly coming to Control and Mechwarrior 5

DLSS 2.0 is the evolution of NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling technique that its Turing GPUs support. This latest version of DLSS was first used in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, however, it appears that it will be also coming to two older titles.

According to Videocardz, Remedy and Piranha Games will brings DLSS 2.0 to CONTROL and Mechwarrior 5, respectively. NVIDIA, Remedy and Piranha Games have not publicly commented on this, so take it with a grain of salt. At least for now.

As we’ve already reported, the DLSS implementation in CONTROL is already great. Still, DLSS 2.0 will bring some additional tweaks and improvements to it.

On the other hand, Mechwarrior 5 never supported DLSS. However, the game’s performance on the RTX2080Ti in 4K/Max Settings was a bit underwhelming. As such, we expect RTX2080Ti to finally be able to enjoy a smooth gaming experience once – and if – Piranha Games adds DLSS 2.0 to the game.

Lastly, 4A Games is also considering implementing DLSS 2.0 to Metro: Exodus. While the team is not committed for such a thing yet, it did state a while ago that it’s looking into it.
