Amazon has announced that its upcoming MMORPG, New World, has been delayed. According to the team, its Closed Beta phase will begin in July 2020, and the game will come out on August 25th. Moreover, Amazon released a new developer update video that you can find below.
Amazon has delayed the game in order to reach our quality bar as we work remotely for the foreseeable future. In short, this small delay is mainly due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
As Amazon stated:
“We know you are eagerly anticipating the launch of New World, and we’re excited to share it with you. However, the health and safety of our team is our first priority. We hope you understand our decision to protect our team during these uncertain times while we re-focus on a timeline that will ensure New World is the best possible game it can be.”
In New World, players will decide how to play, what to do, and whom to work with-or against-in an evolving world that transforms with seasons, weather, and time of day. The game promises to feature emergent gameplay and rich social features. It will also have deep Twitch integration with broadcaster-led events, achievements, and rewards.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
