Square Enix has just released Deus Ex Mankind Divided on GOG. Like all GOG releases, this version does not feature any DRM. As such, the game is also not plagued by the controversial Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Unfortunately, Square Enix has not removed Denuvo from the Steam version. Furthermore, the publisher has not commented on whether it plans to push a future patch that will remove it. So yeah, if you own the Steam version, you are out of luck (at least for now).
In Deus Ex Mankind Divided, players again assume the role of Adam Jensen. Jensen will now have to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided uses the Dawn Engine and uses both the DX11 and the DX12 APIs. From what we’ve discovered, the game runs significantly faster under DX11 on both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.
