And the rumors were true. At the PS5 event, Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Village. Resident Evil Village is a sequel to Resident Evil 7, uses a first-person perspective, and will release in 2021.
This trailer basically confirmed all the earlier rumors. Resident Evil Village will have witches and a medieval setting. Moreover, Resident Evil Village will be cross-gen, meaning that it will hit both current-gen and next-gen platforms.
The game will have zombies and there will be some new types of enemies. One of them is a wolf-like creature/werewolf. Moreover, there will be a new stalker enemy type. It will also have a big castle.
Players will assume the role of Ethan, and Chris Redfield will appear in the game.
