When Remedy’s CONTROL launched, it supported both DX11 and DX12. However, Remedy removed support for DirectX 11 via a post-launch update. Thankfully, the team has released a new patch that re-enables support for DX11.
What this basically means is that owners of older GPUs will, again, be able to play the game. So basically, DX11 lowers the game’s PC requirements.
As we wrote in our PC Performance Analysis, the game performed similarly in both DX12 and DX11 on our PC test system. Therefore, and if your GPU supports the DX12 API, we suggest using that one.
As always, Steam will download this latest update for CONTROL the next time you launch its client.
Have fun!
