Microsoft and Asobo Studio have released a new update for Microsoft Flight Simulator. According to the teams, the March 26th Update packs a number of performance optimizations.
Going into more details, the March 26th Patch has performance optimizations when flying close to large airports such as Dallas-Ft Worth. It also packs performance optimizations of server requests when in the menus and during flight.
As Asobo noted, although this fix may not address all performance-related issues, it will help many of you get back to flying. Moreover, Asobo plans to implement additional performance optimizations in future patches.
In case you weren’t aware of, Microsoft Flight Simulator already supports VR.
Lastly, Microsoft and Asobo are already working on adding support for DirectX 12. This DX12 patch will, hopefully, address the game’s major CPU optimization issues.
Stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
