Now that’s really surprising. The latest UK PC retail charts have just been issued and to our surprise, there is no change at all with the previous ones. As you may remember, some although the Top 10 PC retail chart was the same several weeks ago, there was a subtle change in various positions as some games gained places, while others lost. However, this is not the case this time as the first week of 2012 is the same, in every way, with the last one of 2011.
The Steam charts, on the other hand, tell a completely difference story. Skyrim has managed to reclaim its digital throne and is followed by Batman: Arkham City. L.A. Noire can be spotted at the third place, whereas Modern Warfare 3 is at the fourth place. The Complete Edition of Age of Empires III that was re-released on Steam is at the fifth place, followed by Portal 2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution lost six places – as it was in the first place last week – and can be spotted at the seventh place. Saints Row: The Third, Dead Island and indie game Dungeon Defenders are the remainers of this Top 10 Steam Digital Chart.
Here are the complete charts. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
