Jay Boor, Head of Publishing at Kojima Productions, announced that Death Stranding has sold 5 million copies on PC and PS4. In addition, and contrary to some rumors, Boor said that the game has performed quite well.
As Jay Boor told GamesIndustry:
“With Death Stranding being the first title developed out of Kojima Productions, from a sales perspective, it has performed quite well. As of March 2021, Death Stranding has sold through over five million units worldwide on PlayStation 4 and PC.”
Back in April 2021, 505 Games stated that the game had generated over €23 million on PC.
In Death Stranding, players assume the role of Sam Bridges. Sam must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the disconnected remnants of the future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reconnect the shattered world one step at a time.
Death Stranding is using the Decima Engine and performs incredibly well on PC. Kojima Productions has also added support for DLSS 2.0 via a post-launch update. The game also has Very Positive reviews on Steam right now.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
