Back in July, we informed you about an AI-upscaled HD Texture Pack for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Created by modder ‘flyaway888’, this pack aimed to overhaul all of the game’s textures. And today, we are happy to report that its final version is available for download.
This final version comes with enhanced and more detailed textures, as well as more illuminated textures for better definition. It also raises the digital vibrance of all textures and corrects most of the visual glitches.
In order to showcase the visual improvements, the modder released a video comparison between the vanilla and the modded versions of GTA: San Andreas.
Since Take-Two is currently taking down a lot of GTA mods, I strongly suggest downloading it now. You can download this HD Texture Pack for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas from here.
Lastly, Rockstar may be working on remakes of the first three 3D GTA games in Unreal Engine. These games are obviously GTA 3, GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether Rockstar’s remake will look as good as this unofficial remake of San Andreas in Unreal Engine 4.
Enjoy!
