Earlier this weekend, NVIDIA fell victim to a cyberattack. And, from the looks of it, the hackers have leaked the source code of the NVIDIA DLSS tech.
In the following image, we can see the C++ files, headers, and assets for DLSS. As reported, these assets are from one of the latest versions of DLSS, version 2.2.
This is the second big leak that NVIDIA has suffered in the past couple of years. In 2021, GeForce Now leaked a huge list of unannounced games that were coming to PC. That list included God of War, Uncharted 4 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Two of these games have already been released, whereas Uncharted 4 will also come out soon.
As with most leaks of source codes, other companies won’t be able to actually use them. Still, this leak may give Intel or AMD an idea of how DLSS works. After all, DLSS is currently one of the best features of all RTX GPUs. And while AMD is not working on anything to counter NVIDIA’s tech, Intel will be releasing soon its DLSS rival, the Intel XeSS.
