DarioSamo, the man behind the amazing Ray Tracing Mod for the unofficial PC port of Super Mario 64, has released some screenshots and a short video from an upcoming Ray Tracing Mod for Zelda Ocarina of Time.
These screenshots and video showcase some cute real-time dynamic shadows. The original version of Zelda Ocarina of Time did not feature any real-time dynamic shadows. As such, this is the first time we see something like that in this classic Zelda game.
Do also note that this is a very early implementation of Ray Tracing. Thus, the mod will most likely look better than it. Nevertheless, this is something cool that a lot of Zelda fans will appreciate.
As we’ve already reported, there are currently two unofficial PC ports of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The first PC port is Open Ocarina and the second one is Ship of Harkinian. Both of them currently support 60fps on PC.
We’ll be sure to share a link to this Ray Tracing Mod once it comes out. Until then, enjoy the following screenshots and video!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
