AD Massicuro has shared a new video, showcasing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered in 8K with Reshade Ray Tracing Shadows and Ambient Occlusion.
As we’ve already reported, the game by default uses Ray Tracing Reflections. However, and thanks to Reshade, PC gamers can further improve the quality of shadows, global illumination and ambient occlusion.
AD Massicuro was also able to add ray-traced “Self-Shadowing”. This allows non-static objects in the environment, such as game characters and interactive objects, to cast shadows on themselves and each other.
From what we know, Nixxes does not plan to implement proper ray-traced shadows or global illumination. Thankfully, though, the team was able to improve the quality of HBAO+ via an update.
Lastly, AD Massicuro has showcased other games with Reshade Ray Tracing. For instance, you can find videos for Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Batman Arkham Knight, and Battlefield 1.
Enjoy!
