Modder ‘ScoutBr0’ has released two new mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that will significantly improve the LODs and draw distance for all characters, animals, monsters and items.
According to the modder, the mods will increase the rendering distance of a significant portion of the game’s architectural objects. Furthermore, they will reduce/remove multiple LOD from most objects, leaving only the highest-quality version of meshes. Additionally, they will fix/add shadowmeshes in instances where it was incorrect or missing. Not only that, but they will enable window shadows for select buildings in Novigrad.
You can download these Uber LOD mods from here and here. You can also find below some comparison screenshots. Needless to say that we highly recommend downloading them.
Lastly, and speaking of The Witcher 3, we suggest checking out the following mods. The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project is a must-have mod and does not need any introduction. You should also check out The Dark Souls-inspired combat mechanics mod, and Humans of the Continent 4K-2K Textures. Then there are the Witcher 2 Overhaul Mod, Shades of Iron, and True Fires Mod. You can also find a mod that adds a new standalone quest, and a mod that restores cut content/features from the game. Let’s also not forget this impressive first-person mod. And finally, this mod attempts to overhaul the game’s combat mechanics.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
