YouTube’s ‘Jonx0r’ has shared a cool video, showcasing Dark Souls 3 remastered in Epic’s engine, Unreal Engine 5. This video will give you a glimpse at what we’d be getting if FromSoftware and Bandai Namco remastered this Dark Souls game.
Jonx0r has basically ported three maps from the original game to Unreal Engine 5. In this video, we see Cemetary of Ash, Iudex Gundyr’s Arena and Firelink Shrine. Furthermore, it appears that Jonx0r has used Lumen as the lighting looks way better and more advanced than in the original game.
Now the reason I used the term “remaster” is because this is most likely what we’d get. After all, this feels like a remaster and not like a remake. So, for a quick buck, Bandai Namco would throw some lighting and texture improvements, some QoL improvements, and call it a day.
Anyway, this is a really cool video so be sure to watch it.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we suggest downloading these cool fan remakes. For instance, you can download a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE 5 Demo. There is also a fan remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s “Halo” level. And then we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
