YouTube’s “SilasCG” has shared a video, showcasing what a Dark Souls Remaster could look like in Unreal Engine 5. For this video, SilasCG ported the Anor Londo with all of its assets to Epic’s latest engine.
Now what’s really cool here is that this video gives us a clear idea of what a remaster could look like. And oh boy, the lighting of Unreal Engine 5 makes a huge difference.
What’s really ironic is that a proper remaster could look even better than this. Imagine if a studio responsible for such a project could take advantage of Nanite and Lumen, using brand new high-quality assets.
Anyway, I’m certain that a lot of Dark Souls fans will find this video cool. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, FromSoftware has not announced any plans to remake or remaster this first Dark Souls game.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, I also suggest taking a look at this Dark Souls 3 Fan Remaster. Then we have the Zelda: Ocarina of Time Fan Remake. Let’s also not forget this amazing fan remake of STALKER. And lastly, you can find fan remakes of Death Stranding, ARK: Survival Ascended, Resident Evil’s Spencer Mansion and Skyrim’s Whiterun.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
