SNK has just revealed that Garou 2 will be now called Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Additionally, the company shared the first in-engine trailer for this upcoming fighting game that you can find below.
For those unaware, Garou is part of the SNK’s Fatal Fury series, in which Rock Howard and Terry Bogard are the main protagonists. Rock Howard is the son of Geese Howard that was raised by Terry Bogard.
From what we can see, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be powered by the same engine that SNK used in The King of Fighters XV. This new Fatal Fury game will have cel-shading graphics, and in the trailer, we see some cool hair physics. We also see some of Rock Howard’s iconic moves.
Unfortunately, SNK has not shared any more details about Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. We still don’t know when it will come out or the platforms for which it will be available.
In theory, this new Fatal Furt/Garou game will release on all current-gen platforms. However, it remains a mystery whether the PC version will be available alongside the console versions.
Let’s not forget that the PC version of Samurai Shodown came out one year after the PS4/Xbox One versions. On the other hand, The King of Fighters XV released simultaneously on consoles and PC. So yeah, let’s hope that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will follow KoF XV’s example.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
