Modder ‘105gun’ has released an amazing mod for Starfield that allows you to travel from planet to planet in real time. This is a must-have mod for everyone who was annoyed by the constant loading screens/menus of Starfield, and we highly recommend downloading it.
Going into more details, the SlowerThanLight Mod allows you to control the speed gear of your ship with hotkeys. As such, players can choose from regular flight speed to the equivalent of hundreds of times the speed of light.
What this ultimately means is that it allows you to fly inside a star system in a relatively elegant way. However, you won’t be able to land on any planet. Moreover, you won’t be able to jump from one star system to another. So yeah, while this mod makes the game feel more immersive, it will not transform it into No Man’s Sky or Star Citizen.
You can download the SlowerThanLight Mod from here. Below you can also find a video that showcases it.
Speaking of Starfield, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. Last month, we shared the Disk Cache Enabler Mod which aims to reduce the game’s disk usage. Then we have this mod that solves the game’s elevated black levels/washed-out graphics. You can also use this guide in order to increase your FOV. Let’s also not forget the DLSS 2/XeSS and the DLSS 3 Frame Generation mods. Sprinting Stuttering Fix is another interesting mod that addresses some stuttering issues that could occur in Starfield while running. We also recommend downloading this HD Texture Pack that improves the quality of all major NPCs. Modder Halk Hogan PL has also released the first version of his HD Reworked Project. And finally, we have these two must-have mods that overhaul the game’s User Interface and Particle Effects.
Have fun!
