Ubisoft has just revealed the official PC system requirements for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This new Prince of Persia game will release on January 15th, and you can also find below a new trailer for it.
For gaming at 1080p with 60 FPS on Normal Settings, PC gamers will need an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen3 1200 with 8GB of RAM. Ubisoft has listed the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 and the AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT as the minimum required GPUs.
In order to hit 60fps at 1440p on High Settings, PC gamers will need NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. As for 4K/Ultra, you’ll need Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen5 1600 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT.
In case you’re wondering, yes. The AMD Radeon RX 5500XT is the same GPU used in both minimum/recommended PC specs. This isn’t a typo.
In a way, those PC specs make sense. As you can see in the following trailer, The Lost Crown does not push incredible graphics (though it does have an amazing art style). So, expect this new Prince of Persia game to run smoothly on a wide range of PC configurations.
Before closing, we should note that the game will be available via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. Thus, the game will skip Steam at launch. My guess is that it will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. After all, all of Ubisoft’s latest PC releases use it.
