Arrowhead Game Studios has just released a new patch for Helldivers 2. According to its release notes, the February 14th Update aims to improve overall stability and reduce crashes. It will also resolve connectivity and disconnect issues. So, let’s take a closer look at its changelog.
Patch 01.000.006 fixes a crash that could occur when the application was closed shortly after start. It also fixes crashes caused by leftover visual effects from disconnected players. Not only that but the game will no longer crashes when using ADS.
This latest update will repair instability in game data packing that caused increased patch sizes. Plus, it will improve backend connectivity which will reduce the likelihood of disconnecting in missions. Additionally, it will improve the matchmaking experience and likelihood of success.
It’s also worth noting that the game will no longer crash during the extraction cutscene or when users disconnect during the joining cutscene. Furthermore, the game will no longer crash due to the leftover visual effects from disconnected players.
Helldivers 2 is a squad-based third-person shooter. In this game, players will enlist in the Helldivers and join the fight for freedom across a hostile galaxy. This is also the biggest Playstation launch on Steam. The game has managed to hit a peak of 203K concurrent players, surpassing both Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and God of War.
