Monster Hunter Stories Gets Official PC System Requirements

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories will hit PC via Steam on June 14th, and revealed its official PC system requirements.

According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-6300 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon RX 560. This PC system should be able to run the game with 30fps at 1080p.

Now, to be honest, I’m a bit baffled by the recommended PC specs. You see, Capcom has shared the PC specs for running it at 1080p/30fps with Medium Shadows. I don’t know why the team hasn’t included any PC specs for 1080p/60fps/Max Settings.

Anyway, the recommended PC requirements include an Intel Core i5-4460 and an AMD FX-8300 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon RX 560. And yes, the GPU requirements are the same as those listed for the PC minimum requirements.

It’s also worth noting that the Steam store page does not include the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. So, will Capcom add when we get closer to the game’s launch? Or will the game use the Enigma DRM from the get-go?

Given the game’s graphics, I’m not surprised by these low PC requirements. After all, the original game came out on Nintendo 3DS in 2016. Thus, Monster Hunter Stories will run on a huge variety of PC systems.

    • Additional Notes: This game is expected to run at 1080p/30 FPS, anti-aliasing off/ shadow quality low. If you don’t have enough performance to run the game at your selected graphic quality, you must go to Options > Graphics and decrease the resolution or adjust the quality setting. An internet connection is required for product activation.
