Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be officially released on March 22nd. However, it appears that people have already gotten access to it, and are streaming it online. So, for the next seven days, you’ll have to avoid the Internet like a plague (unless you want things to get spoiled for you). And below, you can find someone streaming the game on TwitchTV as we speak.
JustIchor has gotten access to the PS5 version and has streamed over two hours of gameplay. And, in case you’re wondering, no. The PC version hasn’t been leaked online. Only the console versions are out in the wild.
Now as with all live streams, the video quality here is not THAT great. So, don’t expect to be amazed by the game’s graphics. Still, it will give you an idea of how the game runs on PS5. As we’ve already reported, the console versions have an unlocked framerate. However, their performance will be around 30fps (so expect 20-40fps). And I don’t know if Capcom’s ninjas are browsing our site, but TwitchTV has just taken JustIchor’s channel down. Still, I’m sure that more videos will hit the Internet in the next couple of days.
In November 2023, Capcom shared the game’s official PC requirements. These PC specs seemed a bit high, which may explain why the console versions are at 30fps. For gaming at 2160i/30fps, Capcom recommended an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700. Plus, these requirements were for the non-RT version of the game.
At launch, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will also support Ray Tracing and DLSS 3 Frame Generation. So, thanks to DLSS 3, PC gamers will be able to further improve performance. However, there is still no word on whether or not the game will support AMD FSR 3.0.
Capcom will release Dragon’s Dogma 2 on March 22nd. The game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech at launch. Given Capcom’s history, though, we expect the Japanese team to remove it one or two years after the game’s release.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
