NVIDIA has released a new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA Geforce 552.22 WHQL driver offers optimal performance in Manor Lords and No Rest for the Wicked. So, if you’re playing these two games, we suggest downloading it.
The new driver also helps make PUBG more stable when playing for a long time on Intel’s 12th Gen CPUs. However, it doesn’t solve the overheating problem seen with the newer 13th and 14th Gen Intel CPUs. Intel needs to fix that issue. To manage it for now, you can lower the CPU speed in the BIOS settings or turn off the Multicore Enhancements that some motherboards use automatically.
It’s also worth noting that this new driver fixes some random freeze issues that could occur on GeForce GTX 10/RTX 20 series GPUs when using both Windows Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and NVIDIA SLI. So, it appears that the green team has not forgotten its old GPU owners. That’s good news.
Now, if you are not interested in any of the aforementioned titles, you can skip this driver. From what we can see, it does not pack any general enhancements. If, on the other hand, you want to get your hands on it, you can do so by downloading it from this link.
