Gunfire Games has released a new update for Remnant 2 that adds official support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and Intel XeSS 1.3. As such, PC gamers will no longer have to use mods in order to get the best image quality in this game when using these upscalers.
This latest patch for Remnant 2 also brings some other tweaks, fixes and changes. For instance, it adds cross platform friend invites and joining in-game. It also packs a lot of balance tweaks for enemies, items and weapons. Seriously, the list of changes is so huge that we won’t include them (otherwise you’d be constantly scrolling down the page).
From what I could see, this update does not bring any other performance optimizations. Still, in its current state, the game is quite enjoyable. At least when using DLSS 3 Frame Generation. And yes, Remnant 2 also supports FSR 3.0 Frame Generation.
It will be interesting to see whether Gunfire Games will be so quick to replace FSR 3.0 with FSR 3.1. AMD FSR 3.1 promises to offer major visual improvements. Not only that but it will allow PC gamers to use its Frame Generation with other upscaling techniques. So, if Intel XeSS 1.3 offers superior image to FSR 3.1’s Super Sampling, PC gamers will be able to use FSR 3.1 Frame Generation with Intel XeSS 1.3.
Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. You can also find its full list of changes here.
Have fun!
