Headup Games is currently giving away for free the first INDUSTRIA game on Epic Games Store. Until May 2nd, PC gamers will be able to visit the game’s EGS page and acquire their free copy.
INDUSTRIA is an FPS where you play as a character exploring East Berlin during the Cold War era. You’re on a mission to find a missing colleague, but things take a strange turn when you discover a hidden parallel world with a dark history.
As I wrote in my PC Performance Analysis, I was a bit disappointed by it. Without its Ray Tracing effects, the game looked kind of bad. With its RT effects, there was a noticeable improvement in its image quality. However, the performance hit of those RT effects was HUGE.
With today’s GPUs, PC gamers will be able to finally run the game on 1440p and 4K. However, INDUSTRIA still doesn’t support DLSS 3 Frame Generation. Not only that but even at 4K/Ultra, the game is not particularly impressive.
Anyway, since this is a free offer, you can at least download it and give it a go. Just make sure to temper your expectations. And let’s hope that, tech-wise, its sequel will be better and more polished.
