Cyan Worlds has announced that Riven, the modern remake of their acclaimed narrative puzzle-adventure game, will launch for PCs through Steam and GOG on June 25th. To celebrate this announcement, the team also shared a new trailer that you can find below.
The Riven Remake promises to have intricate storytelling and mind-bending puzzles. Thanks to UE5, it will also have immersive environments and stunning graphics. Players will explore surreal islands, each meticulously crafted with unparalleled attention to detail, from dense, lush jungles to awe-inspiring caverns. Players can also expect to explore an expanded world.
Riven Remake promises to offer a fully re-imagined gaming experience. The remake will offer free movement through a real-time 3D environment. Plus, the game was simultaneously developed for flatscreens and VR.
Interestingly, enough, Cyan Worlds hasn’t yet shared the game’s PC requirements. We also don’t know whether the remake will support Lumen or Nanite. Still, we can safely assume that there will be support for at least NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR. After all, Myst Remake did support these upscaling techs.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
