Kwalee has announced that its upcoming cop game (which looks like a classic GTA on a modern-day engine), The Precinct, will be released on August 15th. Moreover, the publisher shared a new gameplay trailer that you can find below.
In The Precinct, players will clean up the city, uncover the truth, and embark on thrilling vehicle chases through destructible environments in this neon-noir action sandbox police game.
The Precinct promises to combine police sim detail with action sandbox spectacle. Players will be able to patrol the streets and respond to callouts to fight criminals petty and powerful. Additionally, they can choose their own tactics in thrilling chases and shootouts.
According to the publisher, the game will have procedurally generated crimes, ranging from parking violations to gang shootouts. And, to be honest, I just hope that the game won’t really heavily on this procedurally generated content. In short, I hope there will be a lengthy, well-crafted story to experience.
As said, The Precinct will have destructible environments. Moreover, it will offer a day/night cycle with dynamic weather.
For what it’s worth, Kwalee has not yet revealed its PC requirements. As soon as it does, though, we’ll make sure to share them.
Enjoy!
