Modder ‘1vierock’ has released a must-have 4K Texture Pack for Kingdom Hearts 3. This mod is 15GB in size, and it will overhaul the textures of all environments. As such, it will greatly improve the visuals of the game, and below you can find some comparison screenshots between the vanilla and the modded versions.
From what I can see, the modder has most likely used an AI tool in order to upscale the default textures. Or at least that’s the impression I got from the comparison screenshots.
Now contrary to some other AI-upscaled packs, this one looks great. You will immediately notice the higher-quality textures. In other words, you won’t have to zoom in to find the visual improvements. Not only that, but the modded textures retain the art style of the original ones.
Since Kingdom Hearts 3 hit Steam last month, this is a must-have for everyone who wants to play it. So, waste no time and download it from this link.
And that is that. Sadly, the modder hasn’t shared a comparison video. However, you can find below some comparison screenshots. These shots will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. So, be sure to view them (ideally on New Tabs).
Speaking of AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs, we also suggest taking a look at these for some other games. In October 2023, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Half-Life 2 got two cool AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs. In May 2024, we also shared AI-upscaled packs for Grim Fandango Remastered, BioShock Remastered and Resident Evil HD REMASTER. Let’s also not forget these AI-enhanced mods for Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. You can also find packs for Far Cry 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Blood 2, Dark Souls 2, FEAR, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Resident Evil 7.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
