NACON and KT Racing have revealed the official PC system requirements for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. This new open-world racing game will hit the PC on September 12th. So, let’s take a look at the PC specs.
According to the devs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X with 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, an AMD Radeon RX 480, or Intel Arc A380. With this PC config, you’ll be able to run the game at 1080p/Low at 30 FPS and with FSR 2 Ultra Performance. Moreover, you’ll need 50GB of free disk space, and the devs recommend an SSD.
KT Racing recommends using an Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6650. With this PC config, you’ll be able to game at 1080p/Medium at 60fps with DLSS or FSR 2 Balanced.
Sadly, KT Racing has not shared any higher PC requirements. So, we don’t have any PC requirements for Native 1080p, 1440p or 4K. We also don’t know what GPU you’ll need for running the game on Ultra settings.
To be honest, these PC requirements are a bit disappointing. The fact that we only have PC specs with FSR/DLSS is also a bit alarming.
Last month, NACON and KT Racing stated that the game will have better graphics, lighting, physics, and sense of speed than its PC demo. So, I’m curious to test it and see whether the RTX 4090 can run it at Native 4K/60fps on Ultra. From what I know, the game won’t have any Ray Tracing. So, it shouldn’t be a problem for the RTX 4090 to max it out at 4K.
For what it’s worth, NACON has not provided us with a PC review code. Naturally, though, we’ll purchase the game and share our initial PC performance impressions the moment it comes out.
