YouTube’s ‘Digital Dreams’ has shared a video, showcasing Cyberpunk 2077 at 8K with over 300 mods and Ultra+ Path Tracing. This video will give you an idea of what a heavily modded version of CDPR’s title looks like in 2024.
To capture this gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. Sadly, though, he did not include any Performance Overlay. Thus, we don’t have any specific performance numbers.
From the footage, it appears that the game is way below 60fps. Moreover, it’s almost a given that Digital Dreams used DLSS 3 with Frame Generation. So, for all purists out there, this isn’t native 8K. Regardless of that, though, the game does look great.
It’s also worth noting that Digital Dreams shared the list of mods he has used. So, if you want to make the game look almost as good as this video, you can download the modlist from this link.
In case you didn’t know, Ultra+ is a mod that greatly enhances the game’s Path Tracing effects. Among other things, the mod enables colour integration of particles into path tracing. As such, smoke, steam, sparks, and electricity will be improved, and will cast light on the PT scene. Not only that but it reworks hair in path tracing so it looks more realistic in full sun, indoor lit and unlit areas. Plus, the mod adjusts skin for when using path tracing and ray tracing.
For those using Path Tracing, the Ultra+ Mod is a must. Not only does it improve the quality of Path Tracing but it also improves performance. Its creator has claimed that it can speed up PT performance by 30-40%.
Now if you don’t want to use the Ultra+ Mod, you can try some other Path Tracing/Ray Tracing Mods. For instance, this mod disables all the fake lights when using PT/RT. And then we have this mod that can improve the path-traced reflections.
But wait, there is more. If you’re into Cyberpunk 2077, there are some other cool mods you should check out. For instance, you can download the Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker. There’s also a mod that allows cars to fly, as well as other mods that can open up new areas to explore. Then we have this mod that adds a cool Grand Theft Auto-inspired Taxi Driver Mode. Oh, and don’t forget these mods that allow you to play as Ciri from The Witcher 3.
To improve the game’s graphics, you can use Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked or this other HD Texture Pack that improves all trees. There’s also another pack that improves the textures of almost all buildings, terrain, and environments. However, these packs don’t work together. Therefore, you’ll have to use only one of them.
Additionally, there’s a mod that adds realistic ragdoll physics to finishing moves. Plus, Law Enforcement Overhaul is a mod that enhances the game’s Police System. And there’s even a mod that integrates the OpenAI API which enables ChatGPT support. Responsive NPCs is another cool mod that enables dynamic NPC reactions. Don’t sleep on it as it can enhance your gaming experience. And finally, this mod restores 100 NPCs that were cut from the game.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
